News: 23-year-old man killed in collision involving train in West Ashley

CHARLESTON, SC – A man from Ravenel was killed in a collision involving a train in West Ashley on Sunday night.

According to WCSC, the crash occurred at about 6:40 p.m. on the tracks near Hilton Drive and Main Road.

Police confirmed 23-year-old Michael Peterson suffered fatal injuries in the incident.

Few details about the cause of the deadly crash are available at this time. However, officers confirmed no vehicles were involved.
