News: Head-on crash in Anderson Co. leaves 1 dead, another injured

ANDERSON CO., SC – One person was killed and another was sent to the hospital following a head-on crash near Lake Hartwell this morning.

According to WSPA, the crash happened shortly before 1:30 a.m. along SC-24 near the intersection with Wham Road.

Investigators say the driver of a Ford Ranger crossed the center line for unknown reason and crashed head-on into a Chevrolet Equinox.

The Ford’s driver suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The driver of the Chevrolet was sent to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.
