As the Chief Operating Officer for The Jeffcoat Firm, you will be primarily responsible for implementing the long-term strategies of the CEO/Founder. Additionally, this position will be responsible for designing and integrating business operations strategies, plans, and procedures as well as managing and leading the finance function. This position will act as the primary advisor and business partner to the other Executive Leadership Team members collaborating to drive lasting, transformative change across the organization.  

What you’ll be doing: 

• Function as the recognized expert on organizational issues and serve as a trusted advisor and business partner to the firm’s leadership team. 
• Work with the leadership team to design and implement business operations strategies, plans, and procedures that support business objectives – 1, 3, 5, and 10-year plans. 
• Provide day-to-day guidance to cross-functional leadership on coaching, counseling, career development, and performance management. 
• Oversee operations and integrations of processes for the company. 
• Identify, implement, and drive company-wide optimization initiatives. 
• Participate in activities that will result in the expansion (investments, corporate alliances, acquisitions). 
• Manage relationships with vendors and partners. 
• Collaborate with the CEO on long-term plans for company growth. 
• Act as a mentor to employees. 
• Prepare financial and other performance reports focused on predictive analytics; data-driven decision-making is a core trait. 
• Work with business unit leaders to define, develop and maintain a culture that inspires and fosters high employee performance and engagement; a culture centered on “Teamwork, Ownership, and Humility.” 
• Stays abreast of industry and technological changes to guide the organization accordingly. 
• Receive input from hiring managers and share it with the CEO as it relates to business decisions.  
• Attends required morning and monthly meetings.  
• Performs other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.  

Who you are: 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; MBA preferred. 
• Demonstrated leadership with a minimum of 5 years experience in a Director level or higher-level role. 
• Operations Management proficiency relevant to the size/scope of the company. 
• Plaintiff Personal Injury Law experience preferred. 
• Proven experience aligning strategic business needs, operational plans and strategies, and talent-focused solutions to help achieve both short and long-term business goals.   
• Experience in developing or scaling the operations and finance functions.   
• Strong understanding of all functional aspects of operations, strategic planning, and finance.  
• Passion for creating seamless and repeatable processes as well as being a strong influencer.    
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite Products. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.  
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools and modeling preferred. 
• Demonstrated ability to think, act and plan strategically for growth. 
• Experience working with employees at all levels, and across multiple groups. 
• Strong business and financial acumen, curiosity, learning agility, and learning/growth mindset. 
• Ability to assess and translate workforce implications and identify relevant solutions. 
• Strong assessor of talent and able to coach for development, with exceptional facilitation skills and the ability to influence senior leaders. 
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
