Our fast-paced Personal Injury Law Firm in Columbia, SC is rapidly growing, and we are looking to hire an experienced, high-caliber, full-time Strategic Assistant/ Project Manager.

The Executive Assistant role will have a primary responsibility of supporting and reporting to the CEO to help implement the CEO’s long-term and short-term objectives. An ideal Strategic Assistant/ Project Manager candidate will ensure compliance, efficiency, and excellent time management. We are looking for someone who understands the goal to improve processes and ease for the visionary of our firm.
Are you an absolute PRO at following through and seeing to it that goals are accomplished? Have you worked with very busy people before and know what it takes to keep their priorities at the forefront? Are you comfortable with protecting the time of an executive?
As Mr. Jeffcoat’s Executive Assistant, you will:
Manage and help ensure implementation of the CEO’s key objectives
Manage commitments as well as administrative and office support to ensure the CEO’s priorities are met
Be detail oriented in areas where the CEO is not
Anticipate needs based on known priorities
Manage the CEO’s inbox and email correspondence
Take charge of additional duties as assigned
Your Expectations:
- Immediately:
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism, exercising discretion when dealing with sensitive and high-level client and business matters
Be a welcome part of a lively office environment with teammates who genuinely care for one another
- Within 30 days:
Relish being the barrier between the CEO and the rest of the company
Manage professional and personal calendaring for the CEO, including agendas, mail, email, calls, travel arrangements, client management, and other company logistics
Manage Meeting Cadence
Organize events and meetings, internally and offsite
You won’t:
- Use phrases like, “That’s not my job,”, “I don’t know” or “That’s Unreasonable”
- Take urgency or emphasis personally
- Use social media at your desk or be distracted by outside forces during working hours
- Be passive or unwilling to accept responsibility
- Wait for instructions or feel uncomfortable taking initiative
- Pick up dry cleaning or fetch coffee
You possess:
- Experience in an administrative role reporting directly to upper management in an office
environment - Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time-management skills
- Enthusiasm for organizing and the coordination of multiple projects at once
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Flexibility and a willingness to problem solve
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 an hour. Salary renegotiation after 3 months tenure pending establishment of key performance indicators.
