DILLON CO., SC – A 56-year-old truck driver died after two 18-wheelers collided on the interstate in Dillon County on Monday night.
WPDE abc15 News reports that the incident happened around 11:35 p.m. on the southbound side of I-95, approximately 7 miles west of Latta.
The investigation thus far suggests that one semi-truck crashed into the rear of another semi-truck when both vehicles decelerated for traffic.
The driver of the first truck died from injuries sustained during the rear-end collision. Authorities have not yet identified this person publicly.
The other truck driver did not sustain injuries in the crash.
