PENDLETON, SC – A single-vehicle collision on the Old Greenville Highway in north Anderson County killed a motorcyclist on Wednesday night.
WSPA 7News reports that the crash occurred around 10:15 p.m. close to Three and Twenty Road.
Police say the motorcyclist veered from the paved portion of the roadway, lost control of the vehicle, and hit a utility pole. The force of the collision threw the motorcyclist from his vehicle.
The biker was not wearing a safety helmet and died at the scene of the crash. Authorities have identified him as 25-year-old Christian Brewer from Liberty, SC.
A passenger sustained minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
The crash remains under investigation.
