OCONEE CO., SC – A 72-year-old man died and three others were hospitalized after two pickup trucks collided on SC-11 in Oconee County on Saturday, WYFF 4 reports.
Police say the crash happened at 7:10 a.m. and involved a 2013 Ford pickup truck and a 2016 Ford pickup truck. The two vehicles collided near the intersection of SC-11 and Old House Road. The 2016 Ford was southbound on SC-11 when it hit the left side of the 2003 Ford as it turned onto the same road.
The driver of the 2003 Ford died from injuries sustained in the crash. Officials have identified him as Chadwick B. Metcalf.
The driver of the 2016 Ford and two passengers were transported to a local hospital. Details regarding their condition have not yet been disclosed.
