MAYO, SC – Three passengers died, including one teenager, when a car and SUV collided Thursday night on the Chesnee Highway in Spartanburg County, WYFF 4 reports.
State police say the accident happened around 5:41 p.m. near the intersection with Old Coultere Ford Road when a southbound Ford Mustang veered and spun over the center line. A northbound SUV then collided with the rear of the Mustang.
Police have not named the two drivers but say they were transported with injuries to a local hospital.
Three people died in the crash, all of whom were passengers in the Mustang. The victims of the crash have been identified as 62-year-old William Mark Fowler III and 20-year-old Austin Mark Fowler. The third victim was a 16-year-old.
