News: 59-year-old woman killed in collision with Richland school bus

COLUMBIA, SC – A Columbia woman was killed last Wednesday in a head-on collision with a Richland County school bus, WIS reports.

The collision occurred as Kathy P. Smalls, 59, was heading east on Rhame Road and drifted over the center line for unknown reasons near North Crossing Road. Her vehicle then crashed head-on into an oncoming school bus.

Smalls was pronounced dead at the scene.

The bus driver was unhurt. Fortunately, no children were on board when the incident took place.
