CHARLESTON, SC – Significant traffic delays were reported after a collision on I-526 in northwest Charleston on Tuesday morning.
According to Live 5 Traffic, the crash happened at about 8 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the interstate at the exit to Rivers Avenue.
ACCIDENT I-526 WB: One lane of I-526 WB and the exit ramp at Rivers Ave. are closed due to an accident. Traffic is backed up to Clements Ferry Rd. It is unclear at this time what led up to the crash or if anyone was injured as a result.
Traffic was delayed in the area going back to Clements Ferry Road for some time after the crash. All lanes have since reopened.
