DARLINGTON CO., SC – One person was killed after their vehicle slammed into a fire truck in Darlington County yesterday.
According to WPDE, the crash occurred at about 12:45 a.m. near the intersection of Ruby Road and Old Camden Road.
Investigators say the fire truck was heading south on Ruby Road when a northbound Kia SUV traveled left of center and slammed into the fire truck as it was responding to a fire.
The driver of the Kia, 42-year-old Christopher Wayne McManus, was killed in the crash. No additional injuries were reported as a result.
