News: Emergency response worker struck, injured on I-85

BOILING SPRINGS, SC – An emergency response worker was run over on I-85 in Spartanburg County on Tuesday morning, WSPA 7 News reports.

State police say the accident happened at 7:30 a.m. near the Boiling Springs exit. The worker was standing alongside their vehicle on the southbound side of I-85 when they were hit.

The worker was injured and taken to a local hospital. Authorities have not commented on the worker’s current condition.

The case remains under investigation.
