FOUNTAIN INN, SC – One person died and six were hurt in Greenville County on Monday morning when an SUV collided with the back of a sedan on Interstate 385.
Fox Carolina reports that the wreck happened at 2:18 a.m. on the southbound side of I-385 between exits 23 and 24.
Police say that an SUV with six occupants crashed into the back of a disabled sedan as both vehicles travelled south on I-385. The impact of the crash caused the SUV to overturn.
One passenger from the SUV was airlifted to an area hospital and later died. Four additional passengers from the SUV and the two drivers were all hospitalized with injuries.
Officials have not released the names of the parties involved in the crash. An investigation is underway.
