MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Police have not yet publicly identified the victim of a single-vehicle crash that happened on a state highway in Myrtle Beach on Tuesday.
The Sun News reports that the incident happened around 2:40 p.m. on SC-707 near Bay Road.
Police say a northbound vehicle with only one occupant left the roadway and crashed into a ditch.
The driver died after transport to a local hospital.
Authorities are not yet sure why the driver veered from the highway. The crash remains under investigation.
