GREENVILLE, SC – The driver of a motorcycle died after colliding with an SUV on a highway in Greenville on Sunday evening, reports Fox Carolina.
Police say the incident happened around 5:48 p.m. at the intersection of South Carolina Highway 183, or Cedar Lane Road, and Batson Drive.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the female driver of a Tahoe neglected to yield the right of way when she initiated a left turn from southbound SC-183 onto Batson Drive. A northbound motorcyclist crashed into the Tahoe on SC-183.
The motorcyclist died from injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities have not yet named this person publicly.
Police charged the woman driving the Tahoe with failure to yield the right of way and failure to carry a valid driver’s license. It is unclear if she sustained injuries in the accident.
The incident remains under investigation.
