ANDERSON, SC – A 47-year-old man died early Friday morning in a collision that involved three vehicles on an interstate in Anderson County, reports WYFF 4.
Police say the incident happened just before 5:45 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 81, or South Murray Avenue, and Masters Drive.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a northbound SUV collided with the northbound motorcyclist when the latter made an illegal U-turn on Highway 81. The collision threw the motorcyclist from his bike, at which point a Honda sedan hit him.
The victim, identified as Keith Hubbard from Starr, died at the scene of the accident.
It is unclear if either of the other drivers sustained injuries in the crash. A full investigation is underway.
