EUTAWVILLE, SC – A man from Eutawville died on Saturday in Orangeburg County when a driver from Holly Hill hit him from behind.
The Times and Democrat reports that the accident occurred around 7:15 a.m. A man driving a 2007 Honda slowed down to turn left from Old Number Six Highway, and a 2003 Honda rear-ended him in the vicinity of Redbank Road.
The wreck also caused damage to four additional vehicles that were parked nearby. Officials have not shared full details about how these cars were struck during the accident.
Police say the driver of the 2007 Honda died at the scene of the accident. A passenger from that vehicle and the driver of the 2003 Honda were both taken to an area hospital.
Authorities have not released any names in connection with the accident.
