SPARTANBURNG, SC – One person sustained serious injuries after they were struck by a vehicle while walking on a roadway in Spartanburg early Friday morning, WSPA 7 News reports.
Police say the incident happened at 1:30 a.m. when a westbound vehicle hit a pedestrian on Reidville Road, or SC-296, near South Blackstock Road.
Authorities have not released information about the victim’s condition except to say they were seriously hurt.
The vehicle involved in the accident fled the scene, and police are seeking information from the public. Anyone with tips regarding the accident can contact the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
