News: Pedestrian killed in Lexington Co. hit-and-run on I-26

COLUMBIA, SC – An unknown vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian on Interstate 26 in Columbia late Monday night before fleeing the scene, reports The State.

Police say the incident happened around 11:45 p.m. on the westbound side of Interstate 26 near mile marker 106, which is just east of St. Andrews Road.

Law enforcement has not yet released the victim’s identity, nor have they provided a description of the vehicle involved in the accident.
