GEORGETOWN CO., SC – A 26-year-old man died Saturday when his vehicle crashed along a roadway between Georgetown and Andrews, reports WMBF News.
Police say the incident happened around 9:45 a.m. when an eastbound SUV ran off of the roadway near the intersection of Kent Road and Feather Drive. The SUV overturned and ignited after crashing into a ditch and a tree.
Authorities identified the victim as Trevor Hagie. Hagie was the only occupant in the SUV at the time of the crash.
At this time, police are not sure why the driver lost control of his vehicle. A full investigation of the incident is underway.
