ORANGEBURG CO., SC – Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash on I-26 that killed one person and hospitalized another in Orangeburg County Monday afternoon.
WRDW reports that the crash happened around 3:12 p.m. on the westbound side of I-26 near mile marker 164.
Police have not yet commented on the cause of the crash but say a westbound BMW sedan veered from the roadway and crashed into the trees.
A passenger in the car died from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the BMW was taken to a local hospital.
