JOHNS ISLAND, SC – One person was killed in a single-vehicle collision on Johns Island Sunday evening.

According to a report by WCBD, the crash took place at about 6:45 p.m. when the driver of a Ford sedan lost control of their vehicle and struck a culvert before slamming into a tree.

The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity is unclear at this time.
