HORRY CO., SC – An unnamed pedestrian was fatally injured while crossing Highway 17 Business on Sunday, reports ABC News 15.
The incident happened around 8:36 p.m. close to the intersection with Tadlock Drive.
Police say a 2008 Volvo SUV hit the pedestrian while driving north on the highway.
The victim died while receiving care at an area hospital. The driver of the SUV did not sustain any injuries and has not been named by police.
