LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC – A teenager died on Sunday when his car ran off the road between Lexington and West Columbia and crashed, The State reports.
Police say the accident happened around 2:20 p.m. on Old Barnwell Road near the intersection with White Knoll Road.
An unrestrained 19-year-old male from West Columbia was driving a 2008 Cadillac when the car left the road, flipped over, and crashed into a creek. The driver died at the scene of the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
