ORANGEBURG CO., SC – Lane closures slowed traffic after a vehicle caught fire Thursday morning on Interstate 26 in south Orangeburg County.
The State reports that the blaze developed around 8:20 a.m., at which point police blocked all lanes of I-26 eastbound near mile marker 158.
Officials encouraged drivers to avoid the area or to expect delays for at least five miles in the vicinity of the incident.
