NORTH CHARLESTON, SC – A female pedestrian died last Thursday when a box truck hit her on a street just east of the Mark Clark Expressway in North Charleston.
ABC 4 News reports that the incident happened just before 3 p.m. on June 10th near the intersection of Dorchester Road and Oscar Johnson Drive. Police have not shared any further details about how the accident occurred.
The pedestrian died after transport to a local hospital. Authorities have not yet identified her.
No other injuries have been reported, and no charges have been filed against the driver of the box truck.
Local police are heading up the investigation.
