News: 1 killed, 1 hurt in Laurens Co. rollover crash

LAURENS CO., SC – One person died and two others went to the hospital after a single-vehicle crash near Clinton Friday morning, reports WYFF 4.

Police say the incident occurred at 1:20 a.m. on Charlottes Road near Flannel Road. For unknown reasons, an SUV with three occupants veered from the road an overturned after crashing into a culvert. The vehicle then hit an electric pole.

Emergency response teams airlifted the driver of the SUV to an area hospital. A passenger of the vehicle was also transported to the hospital with injuries.

Another passenger died from injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities have not yet publicly identified the victim.

A full investigation of the accident is underway.
