News: 1 killed, 1 hurt in Spartanburg Co. motorcycle crash

SPARTANBURG, SC – A 38-year-old man from North Carolina died after his motorcycle crashed along the interstate in Spartanburg on Sunday, reports WYFF 4.

Police say the incident happened when a motorcyclist lost control of his bike just before 4 p.m. near mile marker 68 on the southbound side of Interstate 85. The motorcycle fell in the roadway and collided with a concrete wall.

Medics transported the driver of the motorcycle and a passenger to the hospital. The driver died late Sunday night. The condition of the passenger is unknown at this time.

Authorities identified the victim as Kenneth Daniel Stacey from Mooresboro.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
