GREENVILLE, SC – A 25-year-old man from Easley died Wednesday morning after his truck collided with a car at an intersection in Greenville, reports WYFF 4.
Police say the incident happened before 6:30 a.m. on the northbound side of Church Street where it intersects with East North Street.
A preliminary investigation showed that the driver of a northbound pickup truck crashed into a car in the intersection. The truck overturned, and the driver died at the scene.
Authorities identified the unrestrained victim as Marcelo Sanchez Martinez.
It is unclear at this time what might have caused the crash and whether anyone else sustained injuries. The wreck remains under investigation.
