MYRTLE BEACH, SC – A 23-year-old woman died, and four other people went to the hospital Friday morning after a wrong-way collision on a busy roadway in North Myrtle Beach.
WMBF News reports that the crash happened just before 5 a.m. on Robert Edge Parkway near SC-31.
While the full circumstances of the incident are still unclear, police say one of the two vehicles involved was travelling in the wrong direction on SC-31 northbound.
Authorities identified the victim of the crash as Kamiyah Belvin of Henderson, North Carolina.
The accident hurt four other people, though the severity of their injuries is unknown at this time.
Local police are conducting a full investigation.
