ANDERSON, SC – Two drivers and two passengers were killed on Friday when their SUVs collided head-on in Anderson, WYFF 4 reports.
State police say the accident occurred just after 6 p.m. when the 48-year-old driver of a Ford SUV veered from his southbound lane on South Carolina Highway 81 into the northbound lane. His Ford SUV then collided head-on with a Honda SUV, driven by 71-year-old Drew James Visioli. The wreck happened at the intersection of Bradley Road.
Visioli and the driver of the Ford, identified as William Douglas Larry, died at the scene of the accident. Police say the incident also claimed the lives of two passengers from the Honda SUV, identified as James Earl Lovorn and Peggy Hobbs Visioli.
Three passengers were also injured in the wreck, officials say. From the Honda SUV, a 2-year-old and a female passenger were hospitalized. An 11-year-from the Ford SUV was hospitalized.
