SPARTANBURG, SC – One person died early Tuesday morning after they attempted to cross a busy Spartanburg road on foot and were hit by a vehicle, reports Fox Carolina.
Police say the accident happened around 3:37 a.m. when a westbound SUV struck a pedestrian on Drayton Road.
The victim died after transport to a local hospital. Authorities have not yet identified the pedestrian.
The driver of the SUV did not sustain injuries in the crash.
