FAQs
Below are the frequently asked questions about hiring our firm to defend you.
If you have any additional questions after reviewing the answers below, please call us at (803) 200-2000 to schedule a free consultation with one of our attorneys.
Do you charge a fee for consultation?
No. We never charge a fee to meet with you. We understand that this is an overwhelming and confusing time in your life and that a consultation fee is the last thing you need to worry about. All consultations are free and confidential, and we are always happy to meet with you to see if we can help.
Do you have a set fee for personal injury cases?
No. The facts and circumstances for every case are different, so we set our fee after reviewing all of the information provided to us during the initial meeting. Note: our clients customarily pay for expenses in addition to the fee.
When can I schedule a meeting to discuss my case?
The Michael Jeffcoat firm understands that injuries and accidents occur after business hours, so we are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If necessary, we can schedule meetings after hours or on the weekends.
What promises can you make about my case?
We can promise to work diligently on your case, to answer all of your questions in a timely manner, and to aggressively defend your rights, reputation, and freedom. Our goal is always to achieve the best possible result for you. Your life, your rights, your choice! Any result achieved on behalf of a client in other matters should not create any expectation of a favorable outcome and does not necessarily indicate that similar results can be obtained for other clients.
What types of cases do you defend?
The Jeffcoat Firm defends all auto accident, personal injury, workers’ comp, nursing home neglect and animal attack cases in every state court in South Carolina (Municipal, Magistrate, General Sessions, Court of Appeals, and Supreme Court).
Hiring a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based solely on an advertisement. Please review our qualifications and experience, and contact us about scheduling a free and confidential case review.
