RIDGEVILLE, SC – Police are investigating a single-car collision that killed a 64-year-old man in Ridgeville on Friday night.
Live 5 News reports that the crash happened on SC-61 around 11 p.m. Police were not aware of the incident until Saturday morning.
Authorities identified the victim as Johnny L. Taste of Eutawville. Taste was the passenger in a 1999 Nissan Altima. Police say the Altima left the roadway near Hunter Haven Boulevard and crashed.
Taste died at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the Altima was transported to a local hospital with injuries.
