RITTER, SC – Two people were killed in a head-on collision near Ritter on Tuesday afternoon, WCSC reports.
The incident took place shortly after 5 p.m. at the intersection of Ritter Road and Tall Tree Lane.
Troopers say the driver of a 2004 Toyota was northbound on Ritter Rd. when the vehicle drifted into the oncoming lane and crashed head-on into a 2007 Mercury.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
Investigators are working to establish an official cause of the deadly crash at this time.
