News: 2-vehicle crash kills 1, injures 2 in Aiken Co.

AIKEN CO., SC – A 19-year-old woman from Williston died Friday afternoon after her vehicle collided with another car on a highway near Aiken, reports WLTX News 19.

Police say the incident happened just after 4:30 p.m. on Charleston Highway, or US-78, near Old Tory Trail.

The preliminary investigation revealed that, for unknown reasons, a 2009 Ford Focus veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a 2020 Nissan Rogue.

The driver of the Ford died at the scene of the crash. Authorities identified her as Yazmaine S. Rabon.

The driver of the Nissan and a passenger went to the hospital with injuries.

The incident remains under investigation with law enforcement.
