FOUNTAIN INN, SC – A 40-year-old woman died on Monday morning when her car collided with another vehicle on a roadway in Fountain Inn, reports WSPA 7 News.
Police say the incident happened around 8:47 a.m. on Fairview Road, or County Road 55, near McKelvey Road.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a southbound 2003 Lexus sedan veered into the northbound lane of Fairview Road and collided with a dump truck.
The driver of the sedan, identified as Bobby Jo Hutchinson, died at the scene of the crash.
Additionally, medics transported a passenger from the dump truck to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
