News: 3-car crash on US-176 in Ridgeville Kills 1

RIDGEVILLE, SC – Three vehicles collided on US-176 in Berkeley County on Wednesday afternoon, killing one person and hospitalizing three others, Live 5 News reports.

The accident happened at 2:45 p.m. near the intersection with Thirty Five Mile Road.

Police are still investigating the circumstances of the incident, but say it involved a 2014 Kia sedan, a 2007 Mercedes sedan, and a 2006 Chevy pickup truck. The Kia and the Mercedes were westbound on the highway, while the Chevy pickup was headed east.

A passenger from the Kia and the drivers of the Chevy and the Mercedes were transported to local hospitals. The driver of the Kia died from injuries sustained in the crash.
