News: Single-car rollover crash kills 1 in Piedmont

PIEDMONT, SC – A 53-year-old woman died after crashing her vehicle along a highway in Greenville County on Wednesday morning, WSPA 7 News reports.

Police say the incident happened just after 4 a.m. on US-25 near Matrix Parkway.

For unknown reasons, the driver of a 2010 Acura sedan veered from the highway and crashed into a ditch, at which point her car flipped over.

The driver died after transport to a local hospital. Authorities identified the victim as Wendy Nesmith.

The incident remains under investigation with law enforcement.
