News: SW Berkeley Co. crash involving box truck kills 1

BERKELEY CO., SC – A 24-year-old woman died Sunday morning when her vehicle collided with a box truck on a roadway near Moncks Corner, reports abc4 News.

Police say the incident happened around 4:40 a.m. about two miles west of Moncks Corner on Black Tom Road.

The cause of the collision is unclear, but a preliminary investigation revealed that a southbound Honda sedan veered into the northbound lane of Black Tom Road and crashed into a box truck.

Authorities identified the driver of the Honda as Kayla Jefferson of Moncks Corner.

The driver of the box truck did not sustain injuries in the crash.

A full investigation of the incident is underway.
