SPARTANBURG, SC – A 43-year-old woman died after a box truck collided with her moped in central Spartanburg on Monday afternoon, News 2 reports.
Police say the crash happened on Farley Avenue just north of Wofford Street around 12:50 p.m. They say a northbound box truck veered over the center line on Farley and struck the southbound moped.
Authorities identified the driver of the moped as Crystal Nicely Donald. Donald was not wearing a safety helmet and died at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the box truck did not sustain injuries.
Local police will continue the investigation.
