Christy Lester Kellerhals is an Injury Attorney at The Jeffcoat Firm. Christy received her Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Political Science and Spanish from the University of South Carolina in 2011 and her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles in 2013. While at Southwestern Law School, Christy served as Vice President of Southwestern Law School Mountaineering Associates, helped establish the Southwestern Law School Teen Court Program, and wrote for The Law Commentator. She was admitted to practice law in Virginia in 2014 and South Carolina in 2015.
Christy has been working in personal injury and worker’s compensation law since her time as a law clerk with a workers’ compensation firm during law school. She became a personal injury attorney to “help hurt people who are being screwed over by large corporate insurance companies who only care about making a dollar …” She is fiercely passionate about advocating for her client’s rights. Knowing that she can make a positive difference in someone’s life is what she loves most about being a personal injury attorney.
Christy volunteers with the American Association for Justice. She sits on the Trial Lawyers Care Committee & the Public Education Committee. Her work on these committees encourages and helps lawyers give back to their communities. Her work also educates the public on tort reform and helps them understand the implications and effects of it. This important work allows people to make informed decisions with their best interests in mind.
In her non-working hours, Christy enjoys spending time with her two beautiful children, volunteering, singing alto in her church choir, and exploring the beautiful state of South Carolina.
